Synopsis
Sister Valerie of the Internet is anchored in the rich Catholic history of Québec and Canada. The public is invited to confess their sins to “Sister Valerie” through an online confessional, which also serves as an archive and depository of past sins. A series of telematic performances will permit the public to pray with “Sister Valerie” and provide an opportunity to reflect on the role of faith and religion in technology.

Techniques
The online website component of the project uses a database to collect and archive user's confessions. The performance of Sister Valerie features a live streaming video of the artist praying situated wihtin an interface that invites the public may to confess in real time.
